Women's March 2018 | Portsmouth, NH

Have you ever felt like you're apart of something bigger than yourself?  That a revolution is on the horizon?  That in your lifetime you could see major shifts start to happen.

I feel pretty privileged and my life has been kind of sheltered & naive.  I grew up with a roof over my head, a loving family with means, I went to college and haven't had to deal with a lot of (well shit) like a lot of people have.  It doesn't mean it hasn't effected me in some where, it has actually made me more confused and upset that these issues seem to be getting worse, not better!

I thought we were past this, but it feels like we moving so far in the wrong direction it's scary.

As a photographer I want to throw myself into my art, but when I'm documenting a family or an event I'm telling the story...without biases or judgement.  I want my viewers to see my photographs and make their own decision based on the information in front of them.

People are in such a hurry to make a quick decision and rush to judgement because actually considering what the story is or what the photo is trying to tell them.

Bringing about awareness can lead to change and photography has always been the vechicle for this!
